Too Much Music For Today’s DJ

The Weekend Hotstepper Mashup remix mix

In the event you asked me 3 years ago easily could ever have too much music I would inform you no way. I always felt that I can always have more simply because you never know what a person may wish to hear. I am never biased with my music and even though I listen to just about everything, my collection contains a lot of obscure music I can’t because you can never enough. I’ve always used computers to have music from the era of dial up and Napster, never to delete anything as long as the file sounded good.

We have been in a different age now and the DJ music collections have exploded to something completely different. I feel a combination of the mash up style music and digital DJing basic software as Serato & traktor. You can forget burning millions of CD’s and lugging them around. Information technology has made remixes easier to make and after this collections have grown from thousands of songs to hundreds and hundreds of songs. Although when first arriving such categories as mashups were an enjoyable experience but now there are just too many.

When someone goes to an organization they start to wonder the place that the original songs went. The sole time you hear the first song is when it is first released however maybe a month after it’s all remixes and not just one but ten different ones. There are so many genres out now when compared to the 80’s, 90’s etc. While searching for a song now it can take awhile to find a few things i am looking for which is why good organization is critical and the digital flies need to be created to help you play a fantastic set.
